Yelland and Papps Shiraz (12 bottles) 2021
Tasting Notes
Made in a restrained and elegant style that is almost atypical of the Barossa Valley, yet with plenty of fruit-flavoured intensity right through the palate. Lovely fruit showing light red berry & spicy plum, with grainy tannins and neatly worked oak that doesn't intrude.
About the Winery
Yelland and Papps is all about small batch, individual, elegant and distinctive wines, from a passionate hands-on family winery. Susan and Michael do not have the usual ancestral links to the Barossa Valley, rather a deep seeded love of wine, the region, its vines, history and characters. Where most Barossa producers lead with Shiraz Yelland and Papps are as famous for their whole bunch Grenache and ‘Dirty’un-filtered Roussanne as they are for their Old Vine Greenock Shiraz.
